Lacquer coated so it's quite durable...provided you aren't going out of your way to scratch it with a knife, it will hold it's color for a long time, even in your pocket with a bunch of keys. Raised letters give it a nice high quality feel. Oh and I purposely made it about 2 inches tall so it won't take up too much room on your keys, or wherever you decide to hang it.
