From designer Les George’s 22 years of custom knife-making and Marine experience, the Valmara is built for tough duty. The drop-point blade has a slight recurve for excellent slicing and multi-tasking capabilities, while a top swedge thins the blade at the point, improving piercing. The 3.1” 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade steel and is precision heat treated to Kershaw's exact specifications, ensuring a blade with toughness, strength, edge retention and corrosion resistance. The Valmara’s stonewashed rugged finish helps hides scratches and fingerprints. The Valmara’s handle offers excellent gripping power, thanks to its full contouring and “S” surface texture. Opening the blade is quick and simple with SpeedSafe assisted opening and the built-in flipper. Simply pull back on the flipper to glide the blade from the handle and lock into place with a sturdy locking liner. The pre-drilled lanyard hole and left/right reversible pocketclip allow for various carrying options.
