Founded by Richard Rawlings, the Gas Monkey Garage is a shop that caters to hot rod enthusiasts around the globe. Rawlings was a car enthusiast his entire life, devoting all of his spare time to working on cars. He prides himself on taking a bullet in the nineties when fighting off someone who was trying to steal his 1965 Mustang 2+2 Fastback. Later on, his fellow hot rodder Aaron Kaufman joined the venture. Aaron strives to keep things simple when working on a tough car restoration project. Gas Monkey Garage is truly a labor of love, and Richard Rawlings loves to remind people about his motto, "Bottom line, if we're gonna have fun, it better have a motor!"
