Some inferior spark plug sockets have a rubber ring that is supposed to keep the plug in place, but they ultimately lack in quality, and you are left wasting your time fishing it out. Do not take any chances with a normal spark plug socket separating from a plug and instead use the ABN Spark Plug Socket. It is designed for BMW engines and is compatible with select Nissan and Toyota cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, and motorcycles (check your engine code or user manual for fitment).
