Three CD set. Todd Rundgren's live shows are notoriously unpredictable, and on one tour he'll be a four-on-the-floor guitar hero, the next he'll be the ravemaster, jamming along with synthesized EDM backing tracks, or the solo troubadour fudging away at the dimly lit intersection of Memory Lane and Tin Pan Alley. As such, any attempt at compiling the best moments of his live recordings requires not only a large bucket, but an open mind, and his ardent and devoted fan base is often divided over which Todd they prefer. Newly annotated by acknowledged Rundgren expert Paul Myers, this compilation of board mixes, demos and live in-studio recordings, arranged roughly in chronological order, provides a history of Todd Rundgren live, a necessarily eclectic selection of audio snapshots of a true star at work.
