During the process of making a batch of hard licorice, an Australian candy maker miscalculated and made a soft, smooth product. Aussie-style soft licorice was born! Almost 50 years later, it is still Australia's favorite type of licorice candy! We've made Lucky Country Aussie-Style Soft Licorice available to the world for over a decade now, and while Australian licorice may have originated by a mistake in Australia, we believe we have perfected it and done so proudly in the USA.
