2016 Australian Kangaroo 1 oz Silver

These coins are minted by the Perth Mint and guaranteed by the Western Australian government. The Kangaroo was first depicted in 1986 as a gold coin by the Perth Mint. This is the first year that the coin is being stamped onto a silver coin. It is part of Australias official Australian Bullion Coin Program. As legal tender of Australia the coin holds a 1 dollar tender.

The front side of the coin has a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. Surrounding the depiction are the words "Queen Elizabeth II, 1 Dollar and Australia". The reverse side has the kangaroo jumping in front of a full sun. Above the iconic kangaroo are the words " Australian Kangaroo." Underneath the kangaroo is " 2016 1 oz 9999 Silver."
