Anne Golden Raspberries are the Largest and Sweetest everbearing raspberry you can find! Their distinct sweet tastes is best described as almost "tropical" with hints of apricot. It is the best tasting Yellow Raspberry and is even larger, sweeter and firmer than Fall Gold. In fact, in 2013 the extension office of Utah State University published a paper comparing the top 10 fall bearing raspberry varieties. In their taste test, Anne Golden came out on top way above other varieties. Anne raspberries are a fall-bearing (everbearing) primocane, which start to ripen in August/September (about the same time as Caroline or Heritage) and will continue until frost. As the temperatures get cooler their flavor will improve. This is a self pollinating variety, but planting more than one plant will substantially improve yields. These raspberry canes are Certified Disease & Virus Free by the State of Washington. These canes should produce for 15 years or more, this is why professional growers and Universities recommend that you don't waste your time (and money) with plants that are not certified. Anne Raspberries grow in USDA zones 4-9 and are great for fresh eating, freezing, Jams, pies, wine and more. Not suited for the desert southwest.
