TWO 1" x 9' Blue Polyester Cam Buckle Tie-Down Straps w/ S Hook End Fittings
The 1" wide x 9' long tie-down straps in this pack are made of durable blue polyester webbing. They are water-resistant, reducing the risk of mold or mildew that would undermine the straps' strength. The safe working load limit of each of these straps is 400 pounds.
Cam buckles can be maneuvered with one hand - just a press of a lever to pull the strap tight or loose, and they are less aggressive than ratchets so they are better for fragile cargo.
This cam strap has S hooks that are vinyl-coated, making them gentle on bike parts and avoiding motorcycle body damage. The S hooks (which have 1" clearance) can be inserted into soft loop ties, E track tie-offs, recessed pan fittings, bolted or welded D rings, and a variety of other cargo tie-down anchors to secure motorcycles, bikes, ATV's, power tools, camping equipment, and other freight you may transport with your utility trailer or pickup truck.
How to Load a Motorcycle onto a Trailer or a Pickup Truck Bed
1. Get a buddy to steady the bike while you walk it onto a trailer; it's a hard job to do alone, even if you're in great shape.
2. Don't sit on the bike while loading as that risks losing balance and control.
3. For the front of the bike, choose tie-down anchor points that pull the straps forward, not backward.
4. Hook the vinyl-coated S hook at one end of the cam strap into an anchor point on the vehicle, twist the strap to reduce wind noise on the open road, and loop the other hook into a soft loop or over a solid bike part such as a fork tube.
5. Never anchor tie-downs to aluminum parts or handlebars; they're not made to bear the pressure.
