The lights come with memory function, 8 types of modes available, including Combination, In Wave, Sequential, Slo Glo, Chasing/Flash, Slow Fade, Twinkle/Flash, Steady On, just choose the mode you like, it will always light up on that mode, would not reset itself after battery is dead.

The traditional solar string lights can only be staked into the ground, however, this light set can be mounted on the wall as well, there are two holes on the stake, package comes with screws, you can mount the solar panel on a wall, near a window or on a fence, anywhere you like.
