UShake Adult Swim Goggles
By Kappa:I am a former competitive swimmer and swim strictly for fitness now. Over the years, I've had many, many swim goggles over the course of forty years. I use my goggles strictly in the pool -- there is no lake or ocean swimming.
I've tried these goggles and found them to meet and even exceeded my expectations. Firstly, the goggles are more of a mask design with the exclusion of a nose piece one often finds in a mask. They are more of a work-out goggle than the race goggle.
Secondly, the comfort is very nice. The one thing I noticed is that the goggles provide an even pressure across the face. In other words, there are no pinch points -- especially around the eyes, and/or the inner points , since these are more of a mask design.
The quality is very good. Although, only time will tell what the exposure to pool chemicals will have on the silicone, plastic, etc. The weakest spot, on other goggles , has seems to have always been located at the point where the band wraps around the plastic goggle piece (near to the eye). As time wears on, I'll be watching to see how the quality (read: longevity) will be. Eventually, all goggle straps break at that point. So, the key here is longevity -- so only time will tell.
Additionally, for those that swim outdoors, the advertised UV PROTECTION is also a good feature to have included. The goggles also come in a hard plastic container. My only worry is how they'll hold up from dropping them on the pool deck a few times.
In summary, these are a very comfortable goggle with an even pressure displaced across the face. Once adjusted properly, there were no leaks. There was some fogging though, but nothing that can't be handled by leaving a small trace of water inside the goggle. The case seems like a nice features but dropping it on the pool deck seems -- well, only time will tell its durability.
