if you computer have two jacks for headset,When both jacks have the right position at the same time with your computer the mic and headset audio both work
if you computer have one jack for headset and plug the pink or green jack in, the mic or the audio will work (if you want to them both working in one jack you need a 2in1 adapter which not included).
The USB of this headset is only for the LED light but not for others such as microphone or headset audio.
