Feathers are a natural bi-product of meat production.. Feathers are packaged in 10 gram bags.
- Thin, vibrantly dyed feathers to fancy up your projects. These are also great for fly tying
- Each feather measures about 7" to 11" long and are very thin and compact (about 1/8" when not fanned out).
- The barbs of the feathers measure about ¾" when fanned out on a curve. When the feather lies flat it will not fan out as the barbs lie close to each other along the rachis (stem).
- Each feather varies in size due to the natural state of the product. Bags contain approximately 40-50 feathers.
- Ostrich Floss is great to adorn band hats, flapper headbands or as a single plume on a wedding pen. They can also be used for showgirl headdresses, smaller feather fans and carnival costumes. Ostrich feathers are very popular in the special event Industry and wedding industry and looks great added to smaller floral bouquets.
