Generation 3 Updates
The 3rd Gen. BTECH mobiles focus on significant hardware updates. The UV-5001 update includes a built-in internal temperature cooling fan and an exclusive updated board which provides unmatched performance compared to any transceiver in its class - focusing on refined audio clarity, selectivity, and filtering. The firmware has also been updated with user adjustable DTMF Gain and Mic Gain. Power toggling is now selectable right on the keypad.

Wide Frequency Coverage
The UV-5001 provides extended dual-band coverage of 136-174Mhz and 400-520Mhz. The UV-5001 can TX/RX on both Narrowband (12.5kHz) and Wideband (25kHz).

Dual Watch Receiver
The UV-5001 operates as two radios in one allowing you to simultaneously monitor two frequencies at once.

Simultaneous Display
For those that want to have the most information at their fingertips - you can 'Sync' the dual displays to show both the name and frequency. This allows the displays to be synched to the same channel while browsing your channel memories

Adjustable Power
The UV-5001 puts out 50 Watts of power on VHF and 50 Watts on UHF. You can easily toggle between high and low power right on the keypad.

Fully Customizable through the Free Software
You can program your UV-5001 exactly how you want it. There are 200 programmable memory channels. You can add or remove channels from scanning list. You can give channels alphanumeric names. The radio has an available low power setting of 10 watts, allowing you to choose how far you can communicate. You can easily program from a PC to set-up the radio to operate exactly as needed. (The PC04 FTDI Cable is recommended for easy programming)

Programming Lock-Out
Through the available software, you can restrict access to menus, manual programming, and even frequency mode.
