When it’s closed, the entire length of the zipping carrying case is less than 14 inches, so it is compact enough to fit into a purse, briefcase, or backpack.
HOW STURDY IS IT? — The WindFarer is made to last. The canopy’s quick-dry fabric is thicker than most umbrellas (210t pongee instead of the standard 180t) so it resists tearing. The ribs are made of steel-reinforced fiberglass and the shaft is made of steel (no aluminum!), all of which makes for a flexible, heavy duty construction that won’t break when you need it the most. Also, the case helps you keep your WindFarer in mint condition when it’s not being used.
