A rake is used to clean up the compound or metal from the buffing wheel. This set includes the metal rake along with the wooden handle. It is important to use caution when handling this as the teeth are somewhat aggressive & sharp! The rakes last a very long time. Rakes are often times used when too much compound is applied to the buffing wheel which causes the buff to harden and burn.
