Vanessa Abbot and Pete Wheeler are taking a much-deserved vacation at the Dove’s Peak Ski Lodge, thanks to the help of Pete’s old college friend and lodge manager Robert Ipswich. Just when they get settled in, lodge owner Joan Pritchett crashes their party to announce the lodge will be sold to timeshare developers and the staff thrown out without ceremony. No one is more shocked than Pete and Vanessa when a maid finds Joan dead the next morning. Can Vanessa and her cats solve the mystery before the killer destroys the lodge and everyone with it?
