For critters–not bears. The Ursack Minor is made of a fabric woven from Kevlar “bullet proof” fiber. The highly cut resistant weave prevents sharp toothed critters from getting your food. Ursack Minor will NOT protect against the strength of a bear. The Minor weighs less than 5 ounces, and is 8 inches in diameter, 13 inches tall and holds about 650 cubic inches. If packed only with freeze dried food, it will hold about five days of food for one person--maybe more. It comes with a hook and loop closure and an integrated loop to clip a carabiner or tie a cord to. It does NOT come with a free odor barrier bag (it uses a 12 X 20 OPSak) or additional cord. Limited Lifetime . We will replace, or refund the cost of, any properly deployed Ursack Minor in which a gap, tear or hole larger than 1/4 inch is caused by a wild critter (excluding bears). We do not Ursack Minor against bear attacks.
