Diameter of the outside metal tube is 1.57" / 40mm for bottom, 2" /50mm for above body.
Diameter of the smaller metal tube is 1.1" / 28mm.

Question:
How to Select the gas lift specification, 5"stroke or 4" stroke with sinking ?
Chair in 4" sinking gas lift will be 2"(50mm) shorter than 5" cyclinder at the lowest point,
Chair in 4" sinking gas lift will be 2.75"(70mm) shorter than 5" cyclinder at the highest point.
Please check your worn out gas lift,try to find the similar specification. Or check the solution in the listing photos.That is,
Tall person, short mechanism height,short Base height select 5" stroke with sinking.
Short person, high mechanism height,high Base height select 4" stroke with sinking.
If all in Middle size, both specification is ok.
How to replace the damaged gas lift with the new one ?
