Build-in LED Status Indicator
Intelligently tell you how's the current status of this cable as the following:
Power On: Self-test, lights up red, green, blue once.
Current > 450mA, Pulsing Red.
Current < 450mA, Lights up Green.

Intelligently tells the charging status
When charging, the current is more than 450mA, so that the LED will pulsing red.
When fully charged, based on the different capacity of various phone battery the LED performance will be different.
Battery capacity lower than 3000mAh, such as Nexus 5X, when it is going to fully charge (about 95%), the LED will turn green since the current lower than 450mA.
Battery capacity more than 3000mAh, such as Nexus 6P, the LED will turn green after about 10 minutes the charged showed on your phone because it will take longer for the larger battery capacity to charge completely.
