THE SORCERESS' PROPHECY:

Kaia knew nothing of witchcraft and sorcery before the moonless night her mother was taken. Depressed, mournful and suicidal, Kaia flirts with dark fantasies of death to ease her melancholia. However, she is visited by Kimryn Dawes, a peculiar woman who can turn normal objects into sparkling crystals, even crystallizing her own tears as they fell unbidden from her own eyes.

Whisked away to a world of dark wonder, Kaia is inducted into a coven of witches and she soon discovers her family is the subject of an ancient sorceress' prophecy which hints at a rare, paranormal power. But there's a problem: the vampires and the lycans know it too, and will stop at nothing to destroy her entire family.
