This is the longest lasting battery solution for the Echo 1st Generation. The MegaBoot battery will allow you use your Amazon Echo anywhere* with up to 18 hours of battery life. It's intended for people that like to move their Echo -- maybe take it to a friend's house, to the beach, a park. You name it. Bring it to work, workout sessions. It will give you up to 18 hours of freedom from your power cord. It will charge using the supplied power/adapter. Your package will consist of 2 items. The MegaBoot battery and the power adapter. Charging time will take from 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Your Echo can be used while it charges. Once it is completely charged, the battery will not drain when your Amazon Echo is plugged in, it uses an intelligent battery management protection system. The MegaBoot fits snug to the bottom of your Echo, once it is clipped on, you won't notice it is there. Echo works using a wi-fi connection or Bluetooth where available.
