Please hold it firmly to keep it from moving, then insert the pencil gently to start the sharpening. Hold it for a few seconds until the pencil been sharpened well.

Quiet and fast operation with 8s' or 9s',then take the pencil out of the sharpening opening, and check whether the pencil has been sharpened.
Empty the shavings collector when it is full.to do so pull it out of the device.
