Q1: Is the silicone on the tongs soft or a hard plastic type of coating?
A1: It is a semi-soft coating. Firm enough to grip whatever you are picking up but soft enough so they do not scratch non-stick cookware surfaces.

Q2: Are these slippery? Is anything hard to grip and hold with them?
A2: They are not slippery at all. The strips on the arms of the tongs is with a non-slip design, there is no problem for daily food. If you need to grip huge pieces of food, maybe you need a bigger tongs to deal with.

Q3: What should I do if the tongs are damaged when received?
A3: Please don't hesitate to contact us as soon as possible, we'll find out the cause and give a solution that makes you feel satisfied. We'll be responsible for our products and very glad to help you deal with the problem.

Q4: Do they close and stay closed completely when locked?
A4: Yes, they do. You need to push the O-ring to unlock it.

Q5: Are these OK to use on a grill, or will the silicone coating melt over time? Has any one used these to move hot charcoals or wood chunks?
A5: Our tongs heat-resistant from -60℃/-140℉to 250℃/482℉. It's OK to use on a grill, but please notice that don't use directly over open flame, including charcoals.
