The angle steel side rails easily connect to a headboard and footboard to create a stable foundation. These 1.6 inch by 1.6 inch side rails can be used with the included two parallel cross wires, which provide an easy way to square-up the frame. The cross wires may not work with all box spring and headboard sizes, but this will not diminish the support provided by the rail system.
