Our bokashi follows the traditional japanese style process to make a great, multi-use garden product. Our product is all-natural, and can be used to control odors in the garden, as an animal feed supplement, to jump-start compost piles, and more. The base of our product is wheat and/or rice bran, molasses, and biochar containing the EM-1® (Effective Microorganisms®) Microbial Inoculant. EM Technology® was developed by Dr. Teruo Higa of the University of the Ryukyus in Okinawa, Japan. EM-1® is a mixture of multiple strains of naturally-occurring beneficial microorganisms from three main genus: Lactic Acid Bacteria, Yeast, and Photosynthetic Bacteria.
