English artist Ernest Shepard (1879-1976) was best known for his popular watercolor woodland paintings. A top book illustrator, his gender neutral style artwork makes a beautiful, nostalgic gift for kids of all ages: boys and girls, brothers and sisters, toddlers and newborn infants. His were the original, first drawings of Christopher Robin's cute little teddy bear and their animal friends' adventures in the wooded forests and pretty gardens of the Hundred Aker Woods.
