Waters Choice pH Down is a granular pH decreaser that is readily water soluble. It is important to maintain pH in the recommended range of 7.2 - 7.6. If the pH of the water is high, the warm water accelerates scale formation on the sides of the spa/hot tub and heater elements. The water tends to be cloudy and eye irritation may develop as well as scale build-up may begin to occur. One capful holds approximately 1 oz. Test water for pH. If pH reading is higher than the recommended range, add 1 oz of pH Down per 250 gallons directly to the spa/hot tub. Let water circulate for 1 hour and test again.
