Aventuine is a type of quartz. The stone is most abundant in green but can also be found in red, yellow, purple, blue, and gray. Aventurine also sometimes spelled adventurine and avanturine. Some believe the stones bring luck and money and it is called the stone of opportunity. The green coloring is due to trace amounts of fuchsite in the stones. Aventurine is commonly associated with the heart chakra.
