Dry Time Accelerator is designed to accelerate the cure time without affecting the ultimate physical properties. Developed to allow for a more efficient production environment, POR-15 Dry Time Accelerator reduces recoat and dry time and enables you to move on to the next phase faster, without compromising product performance.
- ✅ REDUCES CURE TIME – The accelerator is added to POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating by volume and should be thoroughly mixed. Once mixed in, typically the cure time of the POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating is reduced by 30-50%. Important: Adding the accelerator drastically reduces the cure time and under humid and warmer conditions the dry time is significantly quicker.
- ✅ APPLICATION – Add 1 ounce of POR-15 Dry Time Accelerator to 1 gallon of POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating and stir to mix thoroughly (do not shake). The dry time of POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating is dependent on temperature and humidity even with the addition of this accelerator. Spot testing is recommended.
- ✅ FOR BEST RESULTS – POR-15 Dry Time Accelerator is designed for use with POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating only and its use with other products is not recommended. We recommend testing to ensure your specific needs are met. One 8 oz. bottle of POR-15 Dry Time Accelerator is enough for 32 quarts or 8 gallons of POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating.
