The paddles have cushioned ribbed grips for added comfort. The 2 included LED birdies are great for nighttime game play. They light up when hit with the paddle and stay lit for about 20 seconds if not hit again. A great game to play at the beach or in the yard for people of all ages 3+. It's simple, just stand at a distance of 5 to 30 feet, and see how long you can go without dropping it. The two blue birdies are for fast play and the two orange birdies are closer and easier play. Battery used in LED birdie is CR927 if replacement is needed.
