The smell is strong when you first take one out of the package and put it on, but it goes away quicker than many of the other brands. It's also a bit more pleasant -- not as sharp - as some of the others I've tried.

They are a stretchy coil. They easily stretch to fit just about any size wrist, child or adult. These come in a pack of 10, so they will last you a very long time. You might want to share some with friends and family.
These will last a long time, if you store them properly. You need to have a small ziplock bag, to keep each opened bracelet in. I store the unopened bracelets in a large ziplock bag. This brand does not have the ziplock built into each bag, so make sure you have some bags handy for storage. They need to be sealed inside a bag any time you are not wearing them. If you do this, they will last for several years.
The other reason to seal them is because there is an odor. It smells similar to citronella. I don't find it unpleasant necessarily. However, it is overwhelming when you have a pack of 10. You can definitely smell these through their bags.
