3/8" inside diameter galvanized hog rings outlast un-coated counterparts. Hog rings have an advantage over wide j-clip fasteners on traps and cages due to the fact that they do not wick and hold moisture to the wire. Looks great on sausage casings and bag closures, repairs fences, traps, and cages, and restrings dolls. Can also be used on upholstery, shock cord, and a variety of other uses. 500 count bag (11 ozs.) Weight counted. Legs of fastener bypass during closing. Closed inside diameter of 3/16" to 1/16" depending on how hard they are squeezed and the grade of tool used. These work well on thin cloth and rubber stock, but if the material you are piercing is thick or especially tough, consider upgrading to heavy-duty 7/8" rings.
