1.It to split one phone jack (Comcast internet/voice router) into two jacks, one for phone and one for fax.
2. This doesn't work for many voip devices because often the jacks are recessed in the case of the VOIP unit. This splitter works great in this situation because it gets the splitter away from the jack a bit with the flexible cable.
3. You can use not only telephone but fax machine with your Ooma VOIP telephony unit. It also has all 4 wires connected so you can use your two line feature phone. For those who mentioned that the didn't connect well, I had that issue and then I discovered that I wasn't plugged in all the way till the connector clicked.
4. Simple splitter lets you plug 2 phones or devices into a single line.
5.. With any electronics that have to be plugged in and unplugged it takes a little finesse and care.
6. Casing of this US Telephone Adapter is made of durable plastic material.
7.Quick note: If you're looking to use this as a 2 line splitter, meaning you want one female end to be "line 1" and the other female end to be "line 2", this will not work for that.

  • Telephone splitter, one male end and 2 female ends contained in a block.Everything is four pin, so you can split two lines to two outputs if you have the need to.
  • Particularly not only applies to telephone but fax machine.
  • A smaller 2-way splitter (where the male end if built into the block with the 2 female ends wouldn't work). Adding the 2 1/2" line with the male end is PERFECT for our application, whereas we're not blocking the port next to the one we're plugging into.
  • Any end can be used as an input/output (we use one of the female ends as the input, the other as an output, and the male end as another output).
  • Quick note: If you're looking to use this as a 2 line splitter, meaning you want one female end to be "line 1" and the other female end to be "line 2", this will NOT work for that. It WILL split two lines to both outputs if you want to do that.
