Be aware that there are two types of flat feet: "Flexible flatfoot" refers to arches that are normal when they are sitting or on their tiptoes, but collapse when they stand. With "rigid flatfoot", the arch of the foot remains flat regardless of the foot's position. A flexible flatfoot usually requires a high arch support, whereas a rigid flatfoot requires a lower arch support.
