This 16 gauge Forbidden Body Jewelry body piercing hoop ring is easy to use, saving you the time, energy and hassle that is often associated with inserting segment hoops. One side is hinged, which creates an easy solution for opening and closing the jewelry, without worrying about dropping a segment piece or ball. Be sure to use a gentle touch to avoid opening the ring "too hard" which can lead to snapping off the segment piece. Hold the hoop between the thumb and pointer finger and with the other hand, gently open the segment piece by pulling up and away from the rest of the hoop. Only a light pressure is required, and pulling too hard may result in breaking the hinge, as these are smaller gauges & diameters. Insert the hoop into the piercing, and close the hoop by using the opposite motion that you did to open the hoop - simply press in, or toward the hoop and secure the segment.
