Our pumice is very pure free from rocks and soil. The pumice size is approximately 3/16 inch in diameter. Pumice is superior to perlite and vermeculite which tend to break down and float to the top of the soil with time. Pumice is an excellent additive for bonsai soil mix. Pumice improves drainage and contributes to moisture control. Good drainage is essential for bonsai plants.
