In 1988, a countrified pimp and drug dealer named Slick was also known as the man who “ain’t to be played with.” He met TeTe and her twin sister Tess when they were only 16. He lured them in by offering something better than the trailer park in which they lived and the limited rags they took turns wearing. He offered them $800 each. Every damn week.

TeTe, more than her sister, got a chance to know Slick and his violent ways. How he conducted business with clients, his working girls, and even his connect. But she got caught up too far, got played, and learned not to let anything slide. Still, she was on her way to the top… until a few cops crossed Slick’s path. And then a few drug dealers cancelled her plans.
