The Patented Prism design actually collects the IR signal being sent and focuses it on the sensor. This results in a stronger, more accurate signal being transmitted to the STB. The prism is mounted on the rear of the TV with only 1/8" of the tip showing makes it almost invisible.The latest TV monitors do not have any place on the front to attach the Old school out dated front mounting IR receivers.
