Kapok Buds, also known as Marathi Moggu are the flower buds of a creeper shrub. These are basically grown in Malnad region in Karnataka, South India. This plant was mentioned in the Old Testament in historical periods. It is used as a spice for either garnishing the food items or adding flavour to the ordinary taste of the food to make it extraordinary. It helps the digestive and excretory systems because it helps in the breakdown of starch. Capers are generally used in Mediterranean Food items.
