The easy listening world was particularly crowded in the late 1950s and early 1960s, with the likes of Mantovani and Percy Faith enjoying remarkable success. The resulting album was equally well received and became another chart topper, spending five weeks at the summit. Berts brand of easy listening would enable him to become a major star in America, although he is perhaps best known for his role in getting The Beatles into a recording studio for the very first time.
