The design gives you both general room illumination, thanks to the top torchiere light, but also adjustable task or reading light from the 2 side lights. Each of the side lights and the top light has an on-off switch, so you can vary the light output to just what you need. The thin lamp pole and the round base are both in a brushed steel finish. Frosted glass shades are on the side and top light.
