Activate Steam Tech
Make sure the steam hair straightener points downward to activate the steam function. Hold hair taut and starting from the root, clamp and hold the iron closed, slowly smoothing down the length of hair. Once the handle has closed, steam will flow through the plate's grooves to infuse hair with added moisture and shine. If the plates do not fully close or if the iron is not pointed at a downward angle, the steam function will not activate. Removable Water Reservoir
Make sure to fill the water tank before using the steam function. A full tank will support 8 to 10 minutes of continuous styling before requiring a refill. To open the tank, slide and hold down the switch located at the bottom of the tank, then lift out the tank. Pull out the black, T-shaped plug underneath the tank and fill with clean water using the provided dropper to avoid dampening the iron. Re-insert the plug and make sure it does not leak, then snap the tank back into place.
Temperature Control
Use at 360 for delicate, fine, or thin hair types, and at 450 for thick, coarse, kinky hair types. The indicator light will flash as your steam straightener for hair heats up and remain steady once it's ready to use.
