They are very well engineered. The bumper consists of a firm, gel-like disc, with a softer nub in the centre. And together, they stop those cabinet doors from chattering. My kitchen cabinet doors consist of a thin wood panel held within a thicker cabinet door frame - which used to cause the panel to chatter noisily within its frame when the door was closed. These bumpers did a remarkable job absorbing shock and reducing vibration and the ensuing noise.
