Harry Piel stars in this thrill-a-minute comedy as the first ever Invisible Man.

Writer and Director Harry Piel brings the action comedy of Buster Keaton into the talkie era with "An Invisible Man Walks The City". Piel's film beat the Claude Rains version to the screens by two months. But where the American version was pure gothic horror, this version is a completely different kettle of fish.

It starts out as a romantic comedy. Harry is a cab driver with a huge crush on Annie, a flower vendor. But the relationship is going nowhere fast. One day Harry finds a strange device in his cab. Taking it home, he discovers that it can render a human being invisible. With it, he wins a fortune at the track and uses his winnings to live a life of luxury. Unfortunately, his ex-roommate Fritz steals the device and robs a bank. With nobody knowing how it was done, Harry must track Fritz down and bring him to justice. At this point, the film changes to a tense, action-packed thriller. The chase is on thru the streets of the city via car, motorycle and even a zeppelin. The trills come thick and fast as Harry turns into a James Bond style hero, pursuing Fritz with all the energy and guts he can muster.
