Her Aunt Liddy knew how she felt about attending gatherings that required overnight stays. They horrified her. Her sleepwalking had embarrassed her on quite a few occasions.
The Duke of Seth, Chase Creswell, had arrived from London later than he expected. But to be honest, he was dreading this house party, and was in no hurry to get there. Granted, he was acquainted with nearly everyone on the guess list, but he had no purpose or want to be stuck in a house party for weeks. On a good note, his long time friend had been invited. His mother knew it would not do him to stay in London when his closest friend would be at the party. Sly old goat, she is.
