Once a restriction is discovered, this DVD shows how to increase joint range and decrease pain by applying 4 different techniques. This includes static pressure into the muscles that restrict motion, then passive joint motion while applying pressure. Next active motion is shown: the client actively moving the joint through the range while the practitioner applies pressure to the joint. Finally active resistance is demonstrated: the client performs an isometric contraction several times as the practitioner moves the joint through the range. The final insight of this work is the power of working on your client in the vertical, seated position. After the table work is complete, we move the client to sitting, and retest. If restriction remains, we perform powerful techniques to increase range very quickly with the client seated. This work is gentle and very specific.
