Nellie is a young farm girl who ventures deep into the wheat fields every now and then to have conversations with her neighbor, an overweight boy her own age named Henry.

They bond together over the years, talking, enjoying nature. Henry falls deeply in love with Nellie but she cannot return his love. She suffers abuse daily from her father and she never tells Henry.

They grow older, she leaves town, dates the wrong guys as her life falls to pieces. Finally, she decides to return to the wheat field.

Will Henry still be there?
