The Harvester Ants are known to be more active and live longer than other species sold for ant farms. In your order you will receive (36) ants plus a bonus pack of Ant Food. If the ants are kept under the right conditions, they can LIVE FOR 2 to 3 months.. The harvester ants you order are worker ants, which means they will spend the majority of their time creating, cleaning and maintaining the tunnels in the farm. When an ant dies, the other ants will carry it to an area of the farm designated for waste. Once a bit of waste is placed in the designated area, all the ants will use that spot like a trash pile. Ants are very efficient at keeping their habitats clean. It is up to you to remove ant carcasses and other waste from your ant farm to avoid mold and bacteria from forming, which could kill all of your ants quickly if left unchecked. Again, Guaranteed LIVE arrival as long as the temperature does not fall below 30 and not above 85 degrees. Please remove your new ants from mailbox immediately upon delivery. Should you have a problem with your ant order please contact us within 8 hours of receipt with photos. Please do not to overfill your ant farm with a ton of ants. If you do they will not live long. Please do not add new ants to existing ants even if they are from the same species. If you do, chances are they will fight and that can get very messy. We hope for a safe transit for your ants.
