These cards are a great tool to encourage your beginning talker to recognize and verbalize words. They will love to tell you all the objects they know. These cards contain many of what may be your child's first words - banana, shoes, bottle, dog - and some for slightly more advanced talkers - school bus, elephant, toothbrush, necklace. At any stage, they will enjoy looking at these objects as they start to understand the world around them. Older children may enjoy sorting the cards by color or type of picture. While these can be used similar to a first words board book, having them as cards gives variety as the order changes with each use. Most other cards have drawings of objects, but having realistic photographs can help your child to connect these pictures to the real world. Contains 54 durable cards (2.5 x 3.5 inches) and a box.
